What is BPA?

·         BPA is a chemical present in the production of Polycarbonate (PC) plastic and epoxy resins.

·         PC plastic which is clear and nearly shatter-proof is used widely in common products such as baby milk bottles, water bottles and food storage containers.

·         BPA is a potent endocrine disruptor chemical. It mimics the body’s hormones and may lead to negative health effects such as baby’s brain development, breast cancer, thyroid, heart disease, affects reproductive system, etc.

·         Scratched and worn PC plastic bottles will leach this chemical into liquids.

·         Was first reported in 1891 and suspected of being hazardous to humans since the 1930s. It was formerly used as fungicide.

·         When you repeatedly scrub, dish-wash and boil polycarbonate baby bottles, they release BPA.

·         Boiling water released BPA from the bottles up to 55 times more quickly than the lower-temperature water.

Menakutkan biler bace semua nih kan?? We as a parents need to be really careful and alert to these entire thing. So confusing nak carik botol yang betul2 BPA free. Biler Mama bace a lots of articles, blogs, comments and etc kat internet pasal botol yang BPA free nih, Mama jadik lagik kompius. Bnyk sangat brand botol2 nih n tak semua yang BPA free. Some of them tu tulis je BPA free tapi sebenarnye tak.. camne ni??

Dulu mase time Nuqman, Mama tak bother sangat pasal benda2 nih because Nuqman is fully breastfeeding n jarang2 minum guna bottle. Biler ngan babysitter, Nuqman sanggup xminum susu.. minum air dalam cawan jer... Kalo minumpun sehari tu dalam sekali jer..

TAPI..

Biler dah ader Kalish nih, and actually a few months before Kalish lahir lagi Mama dah trained Nuqman gune bottle sepenuhnya.. Then start la Mama try and error macam2 jenis botol ..

Punyer la susah nk bagi Nuqman stop breastfeed.. Nuqman penah beberapa hari nangis sepanjang malam nak bf. Sian Nuqman. What to do.. mase tu, Mamapun dah tak larat nak susukan Nuqman, perut dah makin beso.. Mamapun dah makin tak larat, rimaspun ader.. sume ader.

Mama feel sorry sangat kat Nuqman, tp Mama rase Nuqman dah dapat enough bf till your age dah sampai almost 2 years.. 

Kalishpun tak dapat fully bf macam Nuqman, awal2 lagi Mama dah mix bf ngan formula milk..

Let see Nuqman’s bottle from he’s first start to use it till now.

Ni la antara koleksi botol2 Nuqman mase mula2 dulu.. ade mcm2 brand and Mama rase most them bukan BPA free. Asal comel and attractive je Mama terus beli just to make Nuqman suke. And YES, the purple kaler, blue kaler (yang ade pemegang tuh) n yang ade gambo sesame street tuh are the most yg Nuqman suke.. smpi skang still nak gune lagi. Mama dah beli botol lain and dah sorok botol2 lama nih, tapi biler die terjumpa.. nangis2 nk jugak2 botol2 lame tuh.. grrr.. tension Mama.

Ni plak botol2 dari brand Anakku. Tak tau la BPA free ke tak.. tapi cumilkan?? hihi. tapi sume botol2 nih, Nuqman xsukepun.. nak buang sayang.. nak sedekah la, sape nak??

This is Safety Plus brand. ini memang kompom BPA free. Mase Mama bought botol2 nih, Mama dah pandai sket pasal BPA free nih, hihi. For Mama, this brand is very2 good and worth to buy. xde la mahal sangat compared to the other brand. Kalo botol terbalikpun susu tak tumpah as long as the teats xterkoyak la..

TAPI.. puting die sangat2 cepat kene tukar sebab ade satu tiub kat dlm puting tu yang agak susah nak dicuci. Kene rajin sterilized n cuci betul2. lagi satu, kalo anak dah bnyk gigi and suke gigit2 smpi puting koyak.. memang slalu la kene tukar puting die. the rest sume ok n kalerpun attarctive. 

And currently, Kalish is using this bottles.

Well-known brand; AVENT. Mama tak sure botol2 ni BPA free atau tak. Kalo ikut kat kotak memang tulis BPA free. Tapi kalo bace some articles dlm internet, ade yang cakap bukan BPA free..

TAPI as for Mama senirik.. Mama rase nyesal beli product nih.. dah la mahal pastu dalam banyak2 botol nih, satu je yang tak leaking.

taktau la nape.. n ramai yang complaint on the same issues. 

Yang pasti, sume botol2 nih dah selamat masuk dalam kotak balik. Simpan buat kenangan, haha.

Nuqmanpun xsuke botol nih, die cakap nih sume botol adik Kalish..

Lastly, Mama bought MAM bottles for Nuqman. Ramai kawan2 Mama yang suggest to use this brand instead of Avent or other brand. So, Mama just bought 2 for trial.. and Alhamdulillah, Nuqman pun suke.
